This frightening statistic can certainly make the thought of taking your cake out of its box on your wedding day a bit sobering. You don’t want your guests to get sick after all. To prevent that from happening, you want to store it in the refrigerator, making sure to keep it at temperatures from 30 to 45 degrees Fahrenheit. It’ll be okay this way for up to a week. If it’s stored any longer than that, you run the risk of attracting the bacteria that cause food-borne illnesses.
